One of the Royal Court stood outside the Throne Room, standing straight and left hand always on his sword. His face was composed, the very likeliness of readiness.
He had long black hair, and his green eyes fluttered as he looked around. No one else was here yet. The King and Queen were inside, and so were -- he presumed -- their attendants. Lea waited, looking out the small windows and smiling. The Sun was so bright today.
((Yay! First post in the Castle! =D ))

((Ha, I changed the King's name xP His name's Lorance LaDavon. now. Rofl. Random x3))
The king strolled down the long corridors of the castle. In his right hand he held a fancy glass containing a reddish colored wine. He took sip of the liquor, its strong flavor flowed down his throat.
Not far along, he saw one of the royal court members standing around.
"Hello, Lea." he said in a low voice. "Fine day, no?"

"Good morning, Your Majesty. It is a very fine and sunny day," Lea said, bowing down. He took the King's hand and kissed it, then stood once more. His stood straight, he walked to the Throne Room doors and held them open for his King.
((Lorance? Hrm.. reminded me of.... some other name. xD))

Isabel started as the door opened, and sat up even straighter than she had been moments ago. She arranged her face into a suitable expression as her husband and one of the courtiers entered the room.
((Does anyone know how the queen is supposed to address the king?))

((Okay, going with that...))
"Hello Lorance." Isabel said in a low voice that nonetheless carried across the room. "Sir Lea--delighted to see you again." She smiled a smile that did not extend to her deep brown eyes.

Vir Cum stood near the Queen, ready for any order the King or Queen might give him. When King Lorance entered, he bowed deeply and then slowly straightened. Why do you bow to that scum. He does nothing but gorge himself all day. Guess how much that one glass of wine costed! part of him said. The king is a very important man and has done great works. He is also very busy and fighting an important war so he deserves to relax and have a glass of wine that might just be extremely costly. his other half rebuttaled. Shaking off the debating sides inside him, he bowed again to King and Queen. "My Majesties, may I get you anything or do something for you?" he asked politely.

Isabel shuddered inwardly. She often wondered how Vir had gotten hired, he seemed so unbalanced. Outwardly though, she kept her composure and replied to him. "Perhaps, once the others arrive, you could inform the kitchens that they should begin to serve the food."

((Vir Cum is just a servant, lol, not one of the Royal Court))
Vir Cum dipped his head. "Yes, my highness," he said. He shuffled off into a corner and waited for more company.

Lea smiled politely. "Thank you, Your Highness. It is an honor to be remembered."
He looked at Vir Cum with neutrality and glanced away. It was not his business to be interfering or otherwise talking out of line to a castle resident, whether he be a prince or a servant -- lowly or otherwise.

Lorance slowly smiled, taking a sip of his wine again.
"Yes my queen." he spoke softly. "Actually, why don't you serve the food now? I'm sure the others haven't woke yet."
(Eh, block))

Lea remained silent, observing with quiet dignity. It was not his right or business to stick his nose into others' affairs. In other words, it was not his job to be nosy.
He stood to attention, left hand still resting on the hilt of his sword.

Isabel beckoned to Vir. "Tell the kitchens to serve the food immediately." she told him. Then she turned back to her husband. "Shall we begin?" Isabel asked him, with a nod towards the throne room.

Vir Cum nodded shakily. "Yes, my lord." He quickly shuffled out of the room and went to the kitchen as fast as possible. He retrieved the food and began his way back to the throne room. Spit in the food. SPIT IN IT! No, no. The king and queen do not deserve that. They are fair and wise people. Fair and wise my ass! You saw what their system did to you! Vir Cum shuttered and a tear appeared in his eye. They were only doing what was right for the people. And I wasn't right. He quickly wiped the tear away as he approached the throne room. He knocked, as he was always supposed to do before entering a room in the castle. King's orders.

Lea's eyes narrowed subtly in confusion and be-puzzlement. The servant was crying? How pitiful. He started to wonder why, but stopped himself just in time.
`No,` he told himself. `Don't.` He tore his gaze away and started to, instead, wonder about his brother's life. Was he doing alright? Maybe he had better visit home soon.
